Leg Press Exercise Adjustments
For your safety, wearing rubber-soled shoes is recommended and be sure that the footplate portion of the machine is clean and dry.
To perform theLeg Press exercise, first adjust the seat position. When seated, the adjustment lever is located to the right of the seat. Pull back on the lever and move the seat forward or backward. The ideal position for this exercise is close enough to the footplate so that your feet can be placed flat against the plate with your legs bent at 90 degrees.
Select the desired weight. Exercise by grasping the handles on either side of the seat and in a smooth, controlled motion, push against the footplate while exhaling extending your legs outward to full extension being careful not to lock your knees. Hold for a moment, then while inhaling return to the start position. Repeat this movement for the desired number of reps.

For your safety, wearing rubber-soled shoes is recommended and be sure that the footplate portion of the machine is clean and dry.
To perform the Calf Raise exercise, first adjust the seat position. When seated, the adjustment lever is located to the right of the seat. The ideal position for this exercise is far enough away from the footplate so that the balls of your feet and toes are placed against the bottom of the footplate, but your arch and heal extend down below the plate with your foot bent at the ankle. The more bent your ankles are the farther the travel.
Select the desired weight. Exercise by grasping the handles on either side of the seat and while exhaling push your toes against the footplate, extending your foot outward to full extension, being careful that the ball of your foot does not lose contact with the footplate. Hold for a moment, then slowly return to the start position to complete a rep. Repeat this movement for the desired number of reps.
