The V Hi-Lo Pulley has 35 separate pulley positions designed to perform a vast array of upper and lower body exercises.
To make it easy to move from one exercise to another, the counter balance pulley combined with a unique integrated adjuster system provides smooth and easy one-handed adjustments.

"A "NICE TO HAVE", BUT NOT NEEDED" by Snape on 09/22/2011

Have to say, this attachment is a bit sneaky. When installed, the cables draw to about 55", and the mid cable on the base unit about 44". But, when NOT installed, the low and mid cables on the base unit draw to 55" - same as the HiLo. So, if you demo this in the store (which usually has the entire setup), you'd never know this. So really all you are getting is a bit more convenience, and a tiny bit more flexibility.
